HIV/AIDS in Atlanta: History, Research, Culture, Activism
This project explores the history of HIV/AIDS from an Atlanta, Georgia perspective. Students from GSU’s Honors English 1103 class (Fall 2015), in collaboration with their instructor and two GSU librarians, have prepared digital narratives exploring items from GSU Library’s digital collections, open-access web sources, and physical items. The images and timeline are a digital record of the responses of patients, activists, public health officials, and health care researchers and physicians to the AIDS crisis in Atlanta.
This exhibit in its present form represents a work in progress. Future enhancements will include an interactive map and timeline, and will expand the content beyond undergraduate student work.
